* Nuwara Eliya is the heart of hill country regarded as most popular hill resort for its misty mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lanka's . It is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country producing a significant share of the world's best tea and 18 holes finest golf course in Asia.
* Blessed with salubrious climate, breathtaking views of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery; it's hard to imagine that Nuwara Eliya is only 180 Km from the hot and humid Colombo. Temperatures are 14C-21C (Jan- April) 16C-18C (May-Aug) 15C- 18C (Sept-Dec).
* There are many popular water falls around the town. Many could be visited as a part of trekking and/or hiking expeditions.
-Ramboda Falls - 329 ft. is also an attraction in this area
-Devon Falls drops 97 metres and is named after Devon, a pioneer coffee planter. It is 6 Km west of Thalawakelle and there is a special parking and view
-Laksapana Falls - off the Nuwara Eliya - Kandapola Road. The Nuwara Eliya beer is brewed from the water of the stream.
* The most stunning way to travel to Nuwara Eliya is by observation carriage which leaves either from Colombo or Kandy railway station.
* It also is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers and for bird watching too.
